Oteac, part of Nucore Group, based in Aberdeen, has donated security equipment and installation to the locally based children’s charity BECS (Because Everyone Counts). The new play facility is based at Burghmuir Circle, Inverurie and is scheduled to open shortly.
The new play facility is designed for all children, up to 14 years of age, delivers play and leisure activities that’s all-inclusive, including children that need additional support.
Mark Fraser – Nucore Group CEO said “We are delighted to be able to provide BECS with our security expertise and equipment. Oteac will be supplying both CCTV and access control systems to BECS new play venture venue.”
Fraser continued: “The equipment will provide peace of mind to parents and carers alike, so they don’t have to worry about access to and from the building, letting the children explore the specialised play equipment and experience the new sensory room in complete safety.” The Oteac engineers working on the BECS project wanted to show their commitment to the appeal by donating their own time to install the equipment over the evenings and coming weekend.
Becky Mennie, founder of BECS said following the kind donation: “We have had a few testing weeks trying to raise the final bit of funding to allow us to open fully to the public. The donation of the specialist equipment required, and installation will allow us to, not only ensure the safety of our users but also gets us that one step closer to opening before the end of the summer holidays. We have been overwhelmed by the support in the local community from businesses and individuals and cannot thank Oteac and the engineers enough for their generous contribution to BECS.”
The installed equipment will help ensure that the new play centre is safe and secure at all times.
Oteac were commissioned to upgrade and service the vessel's FFE equipment during the vessel's overhaul and re-fits work
